Hello, and Welcome to Achitects Avalanche, an inteteractive story [[simulator]] about an uncanny job finding adventure. Unlike other job searches, this one has an ending. Prepare for the best, but carefully consider the worst that can happen. Enjoy your stay!
Before we start, which kind of job would you like?
[[architect]]| not an [[architect]]
Good luck! The story is just about to [[begin.]]
[[Good Choice|architect]]Boom! It's January. Time to get the ball rolling and find a new job. Which outlet will you use? [[Newspaper]]|[[Indeed]]|[[Personal Referral]]|[[It's fine I'll work at Costco]]Using a physical newspaper brought up some weird feelings. Time to cave in and call back your distant acquaintance [[Clove]] who said they knew who was hiring .You check your messages and you got a promising email from a hiring manager named [[Clove]].Your friend [[Clove]] emails you some news that a small local firm is hiring. You have plenty of admin experience so this is great for you.The Costco route is so enticing, but on the way to their online application you get a text from your cousin's friend named [[Clove]].Quite the bargain! Turns out Clove had intel on a positon that needs someone right away. The only problem is that you have to bend the truth and tell them you're a licensed arcitect.
How will this lie be possible? Architecture takes ten years of school to be eligible to practice. Your proof of age, licenses, and connections to arcitect world will all have be forged. What can you possibly do to combat all this?
The secret is- someone who quietly left the industry conveniently left their paperwork to Clove. What do you do? [[Start Forging Away]]|[[I should've finished applying to Costco!]]Forging isn't so bad anyway. Next you think of how you'll address the tasks of your new job. Which will you pick first? [[learning the city's building laws]]|[[perfecting your bridge drawing skills]]|[[using four computer monitors at once]]Being an architect sounds boring anyway. Maybe a better use of time would be [[perfecting your bridge drawing skills]]. You look around your house for drawing supplies. Apprarently, all you have is the 64 pack of crayons with the sharpener in the box. Do you [[use the crayons]] or [[go to the store]]?Reading the email from your new boss, you are informed that you will have to have several screens operating at once to reach maximum efficiency with the company operations. This sounds [[insane]]|[[easy]]While your're at it you mind as well work on [[perfecting your bridge drawing skills]]. You're feeling so confident and are sure they'll never notice a difference. How many bridges did you learn to draw acturate? [[1-5]]|[[5+]]The crayons seem to work just fine for sketching, and you spend four hours brushing up on skills. You're into your final sketch of the day when you receive a [[knock on the door]]. Staples, Costco, Walmart- there's too many stores to choose from and you ultimately decide on trusty Blick. With graphing paper and specific pens and pencils in towe, you head back home. Your store run pushed you into the later part of your day. Do you [[grab a meal out and wait till tomorrow to work on drawing]] or [[keep drawing like planned]]Running errands really took its toll today. You decide not to follow up with Clover after all. There's so many career fields to chose from, and you just really need a nap. [[The End]]
